Hi all,
I was trying to find some new Dolphin decals , I feel I could hand paint my strips ,but I am not good enough to paint the dolphins.

Hi there, I am with you on the stripes, was thinking about the basement that has faded....... Not up for the paint fumes though.

Im curious what they are going to charge you. Next spring Im going to remove all graphics. First take lots of pictures of before and after. Since we dont like "fish" on our MH, we plan on working with a local graphics shop. Since the decals have been on 13 years, whatever was removed will have to be recovered.

Our plan is to use a more modern design and darker shades, that still match the sea foam bottom color.

When I find out I will let everybody know. I love the dolphins , but then I spent much of my life at sea. Will do newer colors too, but how to cover the dolphins?

I heard back from the company and they said that they do not know anyone who has the decals . He said that they could make them ,but that it would take some work. More money than I want to send. No price given.

I knew the originals didn't exist any where and re-creation would be expensive.....the reason I was curious on the price.

It shouldn't be that expensive as it really isn't more costly for them to make. They can just scan a photo into the computer graphic system and it comes out the other side, just like any other graphic they make. I would think it would be easier to scan a photo than to actually create a graphic, but they have their reasons I guess.

Try these guys trailer decals, rv decals, race trailer decals they made the "Tradewinds" decals and the compas rose decals for a couple coaches now and did a good job at a reasonable price. They will need a picture and the sixe and color you want. They cleaned up the compas rose for us for a min of artwork time.

Here is a link to the artwork they did for us. These decals were about $12 each after a $50 artwork charge.

K E G either has, or can make the original Dolphin decals. They are kind of expensive, but they look like factory original. Call Al @ 714-841-1131.

If your Dolphin decals are not totally destroyed, any good sign shop can reproduce them in vinyl. They take a digital photo of what you have, import it into their computer, clean it up, size it and print it on vinyl decal material in any color you desire. I own a repair shop and we have had this done several times to replace designs, logo's, model names and such on RV's we have done exterior/ paint and/ or collision repairs to. It's not all that expensive.

Just be sure to use a good sign shop and insist on "10 year" quality vinyl.

Good luck, Bill

I'd love to know more about your project. I want to remove and paint the stripes on my Dolphin LX. I hope you'll post some project pictures
