Fresh Water Tank Problems
I have a 2001 Seabreeze 34 foot Class A. The fresh water tank is under the bed. It is filled through the city water hose connection. We seldom hook up to city water, rather, we fill the fresh water tank, and then let the pump provide running water, the pressure is better that way. Many times in the past, I have forgotten to turn the water off, and then the tank would overfill, and water would run off the back of the coach. Never got any inside, so no problem.
Recently, I forgot it again, and this time the tank overfilled, and the overflows for whatever reason couldn't handle the input. Eating dinner, suddenly the coach shook violently, the bed popped up, and the plywood between the tank and the bed popped up too. The water tank looked like an egg. I quickly shut the water off, and eventually, the tank returned to normal shape. Thankfully, it never ruptured. So, any idea why this happened after owning the coach for 11 years? the overflows do not appear to be kinked or plugged. Secondly, the tank sensor no longer works. I only found one sensor on the side of the tank, and it is still attached. Haven't lifted the tank up yet to see if there is a sensor on the bottom. Is there? Any input would be appreciated.

Either debris blocking the overflow or when the tank expanded it pinched the overflow tube so that it could not do it's job. You might want to try blowing compressed air backwards through the overflow to test/clear the tube.

It also could be that you were putting water in faster than the drains could handle. Perhaps the pressure was greater where you just filled up. I suggest you get a small timer or an app for one if you've got a smart phone and set it to remind you to shut water off. Most water level systems use at least 3, sometimes 4 sensors in tank, not seen any with just one. Not usually find a sensor on the tank bottom. Sensors wouldn't have told you tank was overfilling in any case, they are passive sensors, levels indicator would have to be on to see how full the tank is, something that wouldn't happen while you were eating dinner!

I went back and looked at the fresh water tank again. I can see 2 sensors on one side of the tank, and some wires running under the tank. I can only see one side of the tank. Is it possible that the other 2 sensors are on a different side of the tank? I checked the gray water tank, and it has 4 sensors all in a neat row.

A little HELP here please! After spending more time on this than I ever thought necessary, I have learned something. There are 2 fresh water tanks! The Seabreeze is a Model 1340. The tank is the one is under the bed. The bottom one is under the top one, under the floor, above the gas tank, cradled between the frame rails. I can see no way to access it. There are two overflow hoses attached to the top of the top tank, one of them appears to be kinked, thus the reason for the for the egg shaped top tank when I forgot to turn the water off. In my first post, I also stated that the monitoring system no longer worked, but that there were only two wires attached to the tank. Well, the reason for that, is because the other two are attached to the bottom tank, Duh! Well, getting to that bottom tank is out of the question, so what I would like to know now, is if there is any way to get just the 2/3 and Full monitoring lights to work, given that I can't access the bottom tank?
Sure wish I had a plumbing schematic before is started all this!
Thank You in advance!
