Lowes carries a Haier 10.? cu.ft frig that will work well. The condenser coil is on the back, so you will need to keep a vent fan or two on the back. To seal around the edges, you will need to use the 3/4" pipe foam between the cabinet and the walls.

I looked at some options, but won't be replacing mine. Frigidaire has a 15 cu.ft. top freezer model that would fit in the height and width cutout of the Norcold with room to spare, but is 27" deep vs. 24" for the Norcold.

Do you by chance know the model # on the Frigidaire?

We had a similar challenge in the Revolution. We had to rebuild the fridge cab and essentially almost sit the plywood on the furnace. Heat was not an issue as we did lots of tests to insure that would not be a problem. We have a 22 cubic foot whrlpool. It sticks out another two inches but I trimmed it up so it doesn't look like. Took a little work but we love the huge fridge, in door water and ice.

Good luck on the project.

I had a similar situation with my Windsor in that I did not have enough height to be able to use the samsung or any other large model refrigerator I ended up installing a haier 10.3 cf top freezer that left room for a pantry on the side. If the 1200 norcold is large enough on the inside for your needs then the haier should work well as it is equal or a bit larger inside. The haier however does not have an icemaker available. If this is important then frigidare makes a refrigerator that is almost identical in size to the 10.3 haier.

THIS is the Frigidaire 15 ft. in stainless steel for $669 retail. Also comes in white and black. Haven't seen one so can't attest to it--just going from specs.
