Front Cap Insulation ??

Hey Guys,

I'm working in the TV cabinet above the dash doing some repairs. I pulled out the pink fiberglass batts that were stuffed in there in order to work. The 'glass dust is all over and I'm sneezing like crazy! I'm ready to put things back together and am considering replacing the fiberglass with something else ... maybe some type of flexible sheet stuff I could glue to the cap.

Any ideas??

I upgraded my old tv years ago. Here is the post on my project. Included in the photos is a photo of the insulation I used. I believe I bought it through Home Depot.

We used the aluminum bubble wrap insulation when we remodeled our area over the windshield. It seems to work fine.

Check the R value (or approximate) of the old insulation and any substitute you consider, it’s probably best not to get too far below the old rating.

When we replaced the old CRT tv, there was a lot of empty space. Sent away for rolls of shredded blue jean insulation. Seems to be OK.
