Exclamation Furnace #2 not working

Hello, I own a 1999 National Tradewinds 7371 Diesel Pusher. I've had the rv for four years now. It's had an electrical problem since day 1. My husband and I spent too much $ trying to get it fixed with the rv shops. Got absolutely nowhere. So I am trying to get things figured out my self. So far I have narrowed it down to furnace #2, and the leveling jacks sensor. My question is about the furnace. Is there anything that can be recommended to test where to look for a problem. Maybe an electrical schematic of how its supposed to be wired. I have narrowed it down to 2 purple wires. Found them in the front of the coach, under the dashboard. However I need help with the actual wiring in the little opening in the bedroom, behind the sliding door.

Without knowing what is wrong with the furnace or what the model is, no one can recommend what to test.

Here are some pictures of my wiring in a 1999 Tradewinds. Not sure about the wires under the Dash, mine doesn't go there at all. The rear Air Conditioner turns on the rear furnace and the front A/C turns on the furnace under the fridge for the front. I have heard a bad ballast in a overhead light can corrupt the communications between the Comfort Control Center and the A/C units causing random failures, but if you can't change the symptoms by turning on and off the lights then that's not the problem. The two blue wires going to the furnace will turn it on manually when shorted. This won't hurt anything in the A/C because it's just a relay on the A/C's control board. If that turns on the furnace than the problem is in the A/C units control board or the Comfort Control Unit (Thermostat). If both A/C's work and the front furnace works than the likelihood of the CCC being bad is really remote.

Good Luck

If the problem with your jack sensor is that it beeps while the jacks are up and your driving then add a little ATF to the tank. The sensor is a float valve near the top of the tank and if the fluid is a little low it won't be floating enough to report jacks up. My tank is in the small bay on the drivers side just behind the rear wheels.

Dick

Here is a picture of my tank.

Don't know if this will help or not but there is a small book attached to the furnace behind the outside access panel. In this book is a wiring schematic for the furnace.

Does this furnace start? Does the blower work? If the blower starts and the gas ignites and then goes out after a couple seconds it will probably be a bad circuit board. I had that problem a year ago.

Frequently this problem is just a corroded connector to the circuit board. The fix is to pull the edge connector on and off of the circuit board about 5 times to clean the contacts. You can also pull the connector off and rub the traces on the circuit board with a pencil eraser.

Just had to do that yesterday in fact. I would turn the furnace on. Blower would start. Gas would light for about 2-3 seconds and then go out. Cleaned the edge connector on the circuit board and it started working. Still working fine today.
