Glass door handle

I have a 2005 National Tropical diesel pusher with a glass door handle and wonder if it is suppose to light up. I bought it used and don't know where to start looking on this one. Thanks in advance

Some do and some don't. My 99 Dolphin doesn't. Someone with an 05 Tropical should be along soon.

And it is not glass either.. Plastic (Acrylic I think)

Mine lit up when new, THen it did not, Then I replaced the LED and it did again, then it did not, Then I fixed what the factory did wrong, and now it still lights.

How to tell if yours is SUPPOSED to light up.

Remove it,, At least remove one end, IF you remove one end bracket and there are wires going into it.. IT is supposed to light.

IF you have no wires pull the handle out of the other end and look into it, IF you see the LED or other lamp and reflector (You can compare ends) IT is supposed to light up.

I replace both the LED and the series resistor, total cost under ten bucks, and when I do it they last a long, long, time.

If your handle doesn't light and you can find a way to run wires to it here is where you can buy a lighted one.

And here are replacement parts. These dudes seem to start cracking after 10 to 15 years.
