Question Grey tank drain blocked.

We have an 08 Dolphin, with the shower drain just right above the grey tank drain.

I have tried using both water and/or air pressure via the drain below the release drain valve. A little bit increase draining for a short while then back to a slow drip and stops draining.

Worked on it for 4 hours today, did get some hair clots out but in small increments.

Attempted with a piece of wire to fish but it will not go past the second 90 degree elbow, and then about 2 feet futhur there's another 90 degree turn to over come, 3 elbows in total.

Will try and find a plumbing fish tomorrow, anyone have any other suggestions? Edouard.

Look under the storage compartment just below the shower. There should be a partition to remove, to gain access to the drain & pipe!

Good Luck!

Just came home with a plumber's snake, 3/8" x 15 feet. Will give it a try tomorrow. Spent all day trying with water pressure & air pressure 80lbs., nothing worked to bring the tank down from 3/4's full.

Opened the area under the shower as suggested, I can only access the shower & bath sink drains, no way to see/access the actual grey tank drain, it is facing towards the backside of the tank which is behind the wheel well area.

Finally thought of my wet vac, placed it in the 4" main drain and stuffed with a sock, but it was like drawing blood, when I shut it off to empty the drum, it dripped a bit then stopped, did that about 5 to 6 times to get the tank to empty. Then ran water down to roof vent to insure no blockage, then vac'd that out. Air was being drawn from the roof vent, and also sucked out the sink drains and shower drains.

Then put a sock in the roof vent, closed off the sinks and tried to dislodge the drain vent by putting shop vac hose on the shower drain, no success.

The plumber snake is my last hope.....News tomorrow!!!!

Edouard...This may be stupid but in your last post you said you could not get tank below 3/4 so are you sure the tank is full or is the gage just saying 3/4 because the sensor is dirty mine does this about once a year anyway just a thought.

Autofish: My last post did state that I vacuumed the tank 5-6 times to get the 3/4 tank to empty, so it's not a false reading.

However, the 15 foot plumbing fish did work, went at it this morning, actually ran the whole 15 feet in, while getting by the 3-4 90 degree elbows by locking the fish with the thumb screw and getting past each stall point. At the end with the full 15 feet delivered and twisting it many times in there, it must have moved the blockage away, no hair or anything came out on retrieval of the fish, so assume a plastic disc, (result of factory cutting the drain access holes must be the issue, and I managed to dislodge for now, hopefully it won't come back to haunt me on a future trip.

I have not idea on how to remove such a potential blocking disc, more so is that it probally is larger than the inside of any drain pipe, so it's in there for the duration, ha.

Happy days are here again, until the next time. Then of course I have the plumbing snake to dislodge it. Thanks everyone for your suggestions and support. Edouard.
