haywire wiring

How come?
pull on the headlights on and my low water lite come on, on my dash and a high pitch sound comes from under the dash.
Has anyone experienced this, I do not know how to remedy this situation.
HELP !!!!
I also have no dash lights, with light switch pulled or not.

it sounds to me like the dash is not properly grounded loose or broken ground connections can make all sorts of strange things happning

Multiple dash board systems acting up all at once , prime suspect would be a bad ground.
Now exactly where that ground is , the rest of the story.

Instead of searching for the bad ground, wouldn't it be easier run a new one
