Headlight & DRL/Turn Assembly replacement on 2005 Tropi-Cal LX

Because my 2005 Tropi-Cal LX T-396 is 20 years old, the entire light assemblies are badly weathered and I have brand new assemblies with which to replace them. Much to my surprise, when I went to do what I thought would be a quick replacement, I found that the assemblies are screwed in place with what appears to be drywall screws. The way that they are secured also appears to negate any ability to properly adjust them.
My question is simple, is that the way they were originally installed and second, if not, any recommendations on how I con move forward with my replacement efforts?

That is the way they were installed. Not good but it works. I replaced ours with projection headlights and the headlight assembly should be adjustable

You're in Fulda? Use to live in Lake Wilson.
I bought the headlights on eBay. Little dark out now but the lights came with bulbs

Thode lights should work good for you. That is the type of light I put in mine. They are advertised as LED but the headlights use the same halogen bulbs as the old ones. They use the projector lens and the design the reflector, so it gives more and better light. They have a shutter in them and when you put them on bright the shutter opens up to let the full amount of light out. You will see the cutoff when on low. The high is just a big flood light. Stand by the light with the engine off and have someone switch the brights and you will hear the shutter move. Make sure to adjust them properly. Yes, I live outside of Fulda. I stay here all winter also.

That's not how these work. The projector bulbs on the outside are low beams and the inside bulbs are high beam. There are no shutters and no noise from movement of shutters

As an aside I just had the headlights repaired. First I lost dash lights and the passenger side headlight. Found out there's a headlight control module that needed to be replaced (didn't know there was one!). Repair found a unit for 500 somewhere on the east coast

I guess I'm not sure now of the ones I put in my motorhome. I was thinking both lights were on with the high beam. I know the ones on my pickup that I put in both lights on each side are on for low or high. I know on low for both vehicles it has that shutter cut off line. It's too cold to go look now. 5 degrees. They make all kinds of different ones. Did you look before you put them in, are the low beam actually an LED bulb?

I wasn't looking for LED but all I have to do is change the bulb.
Don't freeze as I'm in AZ and it's about 60 here
