Heart Freedom Inverter/Charger

so, my new to us 2001 Tradewinds 7370....the previous owner disconnected the Freedom, said it hummed too loud... Trying to reconnect...He changed some other wiring too...It appears that the Microwave & over sink outlet are wired only thru the inverter, however have 120v when on shorepower.......Is this correct??? It also appears therefore, that there is no in the panel circuit breaker for the microwave or the outlet.......only contgrolled by the circuit breakers on the Freedom...

Beach,

Sounds like you are describing default function of the transfer relay inside the inverter. The shore power passes straight thru the inverter when present. Generator power should do the same. When you say previous owner disconnected... do you mean the 12 volt battery connections??

There should be a circuit breaker feeding the inverter in your AC panel. Try flipping breakers off to see which one kills the microwave power outlets.

I have seen and worked on one heart unit.. It had TWO 120 volt lines going to it.

IN and out

If I wished to bypass it completly I could disconnect those two wires and put in a standard junction box.

What I have on my rig is a Prosine.. Works the same way.. When the Prosine needed to be shipped cross country for warranty replacement.

That is exactly what I did.. Put in a J-box temp till it came back.
