Heed this warning....Furnace Fan chirping....

Specific furnace that my comments apply to....Atwood. I have replaced one of my 2 furnace fan motors and now have a fan motor for my 2nd furnace on order. When your fan motor starts making a funny noise, like squealing.....do your research and order a replacement motor, immediately. It's not "if", it's just "when" it will fail. It will fail at the most inopportune time possible! ....like at 2AM on a very cold night! Ask me how I know this! Word to the wise..... Rook

Hey Dick......you're smarter than me. I should have replaced BOTH my heater fan motors last spring when I replaced the one in my front heater....the weather was much more pleasant. Rook

I replaced both of mine a few years ago. If it chirps or squeals, replace it.
