Help

I took my Dolphin '98 5350 (Chevy 454) to get the oil changed and had him check the tag brakes for fluid in the tag brake system. It was empty and he filled it and bled the brakes but air is still in the lines and he can't figure it out.

Also, he topped off the power steering fluid. However, the power steering no longer works. The pump runs but appears not to have pressure. What could have happened?

He only works on cars and trucks and is not familiar with motorhomes. It looked like this was a simple oil change and brake and power steering fluid add but he has had the MH for several days now and has not figured out why this is happening or found a solution yet. We are not certain that the PS pump is bad or why it would fail with a top off of fluid.

Are these 2 systems (boosters) controlled by vacuum pressure and if so how do you trace it down? Could that be the problem?

Any ideas will be appreciated.

John

Brakes might have to be bleed further. manybe an air bubble in system. If they were completely dry perhaps some gunk is plugging the line. You might have to take the bleeder valve right out and use and air hose to blow the lines and then start the filling and bleeding again. Was your power steering pump right dry? Might have to take off hydrolic hose to make sure it is not plugged. Less expensive to replace than the pump itself. Make sure the power steering pump wasn't over filled. At least some places to start. Hope this might have been of some assistance and best of luck with the repairs.

Thanks for the feedback. I will pass this on to the mechanic.
