HELP! Now I've Really Done It

I'm trying to install laminate in place of carpet and have tried some different things to eliminate the scratching/gouging of the laminate. Just when I thought I had it solved one of the BLACK PLASTIC SKIDS on the bottom of the slide breaks. There are three of these on my front drivers side slide. There is no part number on it. Anyone ever had this happen?? Anyone know where I can get a replacement?? Any thoughts/suggestions out there??

I was supposed to have this done before the Wife gets home from Vegas, maybe I need to hide somewhere. Will post some pics in a bit.

One last question, are these black plastic skids only on Nationals??

Since the slide moved over carpet with a plastic skid, why not use carpet pieces in place of the skids to side over the laminate floor? You'll still have an issue of sand or dirt getting caught in the carpet and scratching the flooring, but I don't know of anything short of a rubber roller to eliminate the set up of something sliding over the floor.

All the slides on our Dutch Star are on rollers. Can you change the skids to rollers?

Here's the pics, the skid measures 12x6". If I can't find one, do you think it would be ok to just take off the other two??

Here's a slide roller:

RV slide out rollers bus motorhome Monaco guide assembly 1 3/4" X 4.5" | eBay

You could also find plastic to use as a skid here: Home | Plastic Tanks | Plastic Buckets | Plastic Bottles | Labware | Plastic Tubing | PVC Pipe | U.S. Plastic Corp.

I'd call and talk to someone about the best type for your application.

Something like that might work if I could mount it on the bottom of the slide without having to remove the slide. Could you take a pic of yours and post it?? Would really appreciate it.

John, furniture sliders aren't thick enough. I need 3/4" so that I can match the remaining two skids.

Well, plan "B" was to wake up this morning and find it was all a dream. Since it wasn't I visited a dealer who use to carry Nationals. He said this skid was a National made thingee. Suggested I look at a Plastic Machine fabricator. That may end up being Plan D after I find someone with a slide lip like mine who has rollers that move it in and out. TheBerrys have a 99 with their slide on rollers, but it's a kitchen slide. What about your slide??
I was provided a source for the rollers but not sure I can use them on mine since as you can see in the pic the metal flooring the skids attach to has an angle to it.

One day when you bring the slide in, stop when the front begins to rise, then look under it between the mh floor and the underneath of the slide. You should be moving in on 3 evenly spaced rollers or maybe the same things as me.
