Help! Rear Passenger Jack Won't Retract

All the other jacks extend and retract just fine except for the rear passenger jack. Its clean and "lubed". The oil levels are perfect. Is there a field expedient way to retract and deal with it later? Tried using a crowbar while retract button pushed. No dice. If there is anyone out there tonight..I could use some help.

1995 Dolphin. Power Gear 4 leg RV System.

Thanks in Advance

In a bind, you can crack the line loose and try pushing it up, but your going to make a mess.

So at the jack, or at the cylinder/pump? There is a line for the curbside rear atop that assembly. One could undo the line and jam it into an oil bottle or something so that it leaks into there. Then go and push up the jack with a crowbar, etc. until desired height and then re-attach the line? Is this what you are trying to describe? If so...very do-able.

I am going to post a picture of the control board. Maybe the problem lies in the #4 fuse? Its all burned looking. For the ignorant. What do I set my multimeter at to test the fuse/s once they are pulled out?

Thanks for the pulling the line tip.

regards

Had that happen to mine a couple of times. Found if put vehicle in gear safety interlock would open dump valve and retract the jack.

I will go try that right now....with foot on the brake of course!

Just got back from trying that. Had to re-attach the control board first. Anyway, it seems like the 1995 system doesn't have the safety feature. Didn't even sound an alarm. The jacks down light was lit though. That is positive I suppose. back to the drawing board. Wait until daylight and then maybe undo the curbside rear line at the pump and stick it in a milk bottle or something then try and raise up the jack with a crowbar or something. Wish me luck!

When that happened to me I found one of the solenoid coils had burned out. I swapped the defective coil with another and the jack went up.Powergear wanted a bunch of money for a new solenoid. I found a local electronics place that had the coil for less than ten dollars.

On our HWH system the solenoid valves have a small nut that you can back off 3 turns that will let the hyd fluid go back to the pump and the jack should return to the store position.
If its a HVH system call Stuarts Service in Elkhart IN (google) talk to Chuck 35 yrs working on HVH good luck
