Thanks Tom. This is the latch I’m looking for. Does it look like yours?

Thanks Tom and Scooter. Called Veronica yesterday and she sent me a latch free of charge. Looks to be the right one by the pic she sent. I guess we’ll see. Doesn’t appear to be chrome like the original but I can always paint it if it’s the right one. Going to be taking the coach on her maiden voyage today through the mountains of Colorado. Hopefully she doesn’t disappoint.

Well, Veronica called me back with bad news. They no longer have these latches in stock and are no longer making them (that’s my luck). Back to square one.

Check the drain in the back under the coil

Second, my fridge does not get cold. The freezer works just fine. I've had it running for about 10 hours and it has not gotten cold at all. I've tried it on gas and on AC. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've ohmed out the thermistor and it's after holding it in my hand for about 30 seconds, it's around 9-10k ohms. That's within spec as far as I could find with my searching. Oh, it's a Norcold 4 door, I believe its a 12 cuft.

Check the drain in the back under the coil. We also put frozen ice packs in the freezer & fridge. Helps it cool down quicker.

2004 Dolphin
2004 Dolphin here as well. I had a time finding the AC filter, have you located the air return and filter for the AC? It is under the bed on the right side. Lift up platform and there is a small “box” on the right about half way up 4 screws in it. Remove screws and open it. The filters can be found at Ace Hardware. Be sure your bedding doesn’t obstruct the air intake grill, which is near the floor, it gets quite dusty too. I was fortunate and have all the manuals for everything in my Dolphin, from the original owners who ordered it from the factory. They kept it all in a file…what a goldmine! Also, until you replace the closet door latches, you can use a small tension curtain rod to hold them in place, seems to keep them from rattling as well.
One other thing I just discovered…the overhead fluorescent bulbs can be replaced with the plug and play LED bulbs (T12 or 8) from Walmart, I think it was the 24” ones. Wow, what a difference in the brightness and color, didn’t realize how yellow the color was.
I flat tow a 2004 Ranger behind me, and can’t even tell it. I wouldn’t trade my Dolphin for a brand new coach!

Offroadfun,
I have a 2005 Dolphin 5342. The only wiring diagrams I’ve been able to find are not very useful or detailed. Back in about 2016, on irv2, there was some links to diagrams from National RV. These drawings all had numbers like “550-39-00026 …”. Maybe the irv2 host can get you access to these old posts.
That being said, my drawing 550-39-00026 2of4 says the 12v wiring harness for the main slide drops down the rear corner of the slide and enters the slide gear support. Look close where the gear support attaches to the slide and you’ll see the black wiring mold entering the support. Note, don’t disconnect the slide from the support or you’ll upset the the slide alignment. I don’t know where the wire goes from here. I don’t find any reference in any of the other drawings as to any fuse or cb.
If you can’t get access to these drawings let me know and I can scan mine in (16 pages) and email them to you.
Ron

re: refrig, one owner recently found REFRIG problem was a bad LPG Regulator, despite thinking his stovetop was fine, pressure was down at 9"-10" range, said new reg made refrig better than new; (the manual) on some advises removing/cleaning the brass gas JET for burner w/ alcohol? Electric (might) have voltage issues, defective heater, or heater value issues that might need verifying?

I have a 2004 Dolphin 5342. When I bought it the lights were out in that slide and dealer said it was a loose/broken wire on the slide. I can’t help much with that because they fixed it 9 years ago and it’s still fine! The Norcold or (nocold) in RV slang takes a long time to cool down. We usually fire ours up a couple of days before we put food in! We haven’t upgraded to a newer unit because we found anything in our price range that even compares to the Dolphin! You made a good choice and if your experience is like ours you will love it!! Have fun!!

Well, I found the problem to my lights in the slide. Broken wire in the basement where the harness comes out of the slide support leg. Fixed it and all my lights are now working.
