Hitch Wiring Glitch

My '99 Dolphin is not sending power to the left turn or trailer light circuits.

Trailer brake and right turn work.

Likely place to check? Are there fuses for electric circuits to trailer separate from other vehicle circuits? - Which all work.

It should have tow package and should have separate fuses for it. We need to know what chassis it's on

Just a guess, but being a 99 the wiring has been exposed to the elements for some time. The connectors used underneath are likely crimp or clamp on style. Maybe not all of them, but some for sure. It's a quick efficient way of wiring things like that and is common in the manufacturing process. My suggestion would be get a continuity tester and sharpen the probe needle sharp. It will allow you to poke into a wire through the insulation without any harm to the wiring. Test every segment of wiring you find clamp on or crimp style connectors. You'll probably find a connector that has corroded enough that the connection is lost. Splice in a new piece or replace connector and you'll be good to go. Be careful with the sharp probe, if you try this. It bites if you're not careful.

This is a common problem, you will need a test light to find where the trouble starts. Pay attention to the connections at the coach and the toad where they hook together. Had same problem and found a wire loose in the connector at the toad. keep looking, you will find the problem.

Make sure you check all the fuse boxes they had two up under the on some models one was in the center and just looked like a black box, use a meter or light tester to check all the fuses plus use owners manual to locate the fuses
