Hole in Centrex bumper.

Just purchased a 2000 National RV Sea View. It has a nasty hole (about 4 inches) plus various cracks in the rear "bumper". I need to know what kind of plastic this bumper is made from. Thinking about repairing it myself. I think it is the same material as the door panels and side parts.
The previous owner blamed it on his wife.... yeah right.
Any help would be appreciated.

I'd use an everyday fiberglass kit with about at least four layers of cloth material using no more than two layers of cloth drying to hard at a time for the hole. Grind a V channel along the cracks and fill with a good body puddy with fibers. Then skim coat it all with glazing putty in very thin layers.

Then one or two layers of fiberglass cloth across the whole back surface of the damaged area.

Thanks for the quick reply's. I'm a little hesitant to use the fiberglass as this looks like plastic to me. In the Plasti-mend info, they mention a test which will determine if their product will work for me.
You have both put me on the right track though and I Thank You!

Looks like a good place to put a metal plaque (maybe FMCA) to cover the hole. Easy fix and no one will know! Good luck!
