House disconnect relay / solenoid - location and repair

Can someone point me to the location of the house disconnect relay / solinoid? I assume this is a rotary switch rather then a current solinoid. Is that corrent?

Mine is becoming intermittant. Has anyone repaired one? It is a matter of dirty contacts?

(I have not taken the control panel off. It could also simply be a bad switch. That would actually be straight forward. )

Advice, pointers, and pitfalls appreciated. - Dan

Dan, not sure what NRV model you have. On our 2005 gas Dolphin, it's a relay located just forward of the entrance door.

Dan,

We need to know WHAT National RV you have.

Gas? Diesel? Model? Year?

My oversight. Sorry.

2002 National Tradewinds 3970 LE. When it does work the click sounds like it coming from the battery area. However all I can recognize there is the main battery controller board.

I found a pdf label "12V Power Distribution Center". This appears to have both the charging interconnect relay and the chassis connect / disconnect relays. I suspect it is associated. There are two boards, it is likely on the second board. I will check and follow up.

Thanks all.

Probably the switch needs to be replaced. The one in my Dolphin does the same thing and it is the switch.

I have an 03 Tradewinds. The solenoid on mine is in the bay with the inverter. Their is a pc board with a number of breakers on it. The solenoid is located behind the front board. Mine often won't engage when I hit the switch, but if I hit it a few more times it clicks in. Hope this helps.

I have a 1998 Sea Breeze and mine is mounted behind the BCC board if that helps.

On my 02 it is on the front wall of the inverter bay. The solenoid is behind the BCC circuit board out of sight. I got a replacement from O'Reilly about 3 years ago for $40.
