Exclamation How to open engine "dog house".

Howdy from sunny Florida. My spouse and I just acquired a 1997 Seabreeze (29'). It's built on the Chevy chassis with a Vortec 454. I want to open the engine cover to give it a good once over and install new plugs etc. how in the world does it open? I can't find any fasteners blazed and confused.

Thank you..

David

Never opened ours in 3 years. Get a strong magnet and run it over the edges. There are probably two machine bolts and maybe some clips under the rug.

If like on our Safari trek, the doghouse and surrounding areas are carpeted, feel around for the heads of wood screws. Some manufacturers use wood screws and the little plastic covers on the screw heads come off making the screws hard to find.

Our 1997 Dolphin has 2 Phillips head bolts at top front of dog house, under the dash. I think it's supposed to have 2 where it rests on the floor at rear as well. Hard to find in the carpeting

Our 95 Dolphin has them at the rear almost out to the corner in the carpet at the very base of the cover. Regular hex bolts..
