Question How to remove instrument cluster in '05 Dolphin

Some of the LCD's in the LCD Screen under the speedometer are going out and it is becoming more difficult to determine the odometer mileage and other display options. I have visited the Actia Instrument Cluster *Replacement Screen Kit web page (https://www.ultrarvproducts.com/105297S-Workhorse-Actia-Instrument-Cluster-*Replacement-Screen-Kit*) and retrieved the How-To at their site (https://www.urvp.com/105297S.jpg). Unfortunately the instruction start with "after you have removed the instrument cluster....". Once you are at that point, replacing the LCD screen is like adding RAM in a PC.

HOWEVER.... has anyone in the RV Oracle@Dephi (this forum) removed the instrument cluster from a Dolphin and can provide advice on how its done?

I will be posting images soon of what's under the dash.

Thanks for any help.

JJ

I have an older Dolphin, i just removed my cluster yesterday, I started by removing each layer of panels, keep track of the screws by panel. on mine I removed the over cover, then the face cover. the last set have 3/16 screws, you need to remove the last one to remove the shift mechanism indicator. that has two screws. look on the back side you will have at least on mine four connectors, I marke mine with take to show the upside on the connector for when I reinstall. if you run into complication ie defective parts. I went to speedo check in Whittier calif. 1 562 464 0699

It turned out to be super easy. There are 4 screws in the front of the panel that hold the panel in the console (left, right, top, & bottom).

There are 6 or so bolts/nuts that hold the instrument circuit board to the panel.

When I put it all back, after replacing the LCD screen, I used a little paint on the bolts to hold them in place.

Fuses

I love the commentary on the fuse panel in the third photo. I have located at least 6 locations for fuses and circuit breakers in Big Blue. I just did a count and actually have fuses and circuit breakers in 11 known locations to date, possibly 12 if she has fusible links at the starter like earlier years. This count does include the fuses on the control panels in the furnace, fridge, and water heater.
