Hydraulic Brake Booster
I just bought a 05 National Seabreeze.it has the Ford chassis.
i notice that when i turn the ignition key on the electric assist pump for the hydraulic brake booster comes .It shuts off when I start the engine. is this normal?
I have worked on trucks with similar systems were the assist pump comes on when the engine is not running and you step on the brake pedal. Anyone have
a 05 that answer this for me

Yes it is normal. Mine is a 99 and does the samething. Reason, if you have an engine failure you will still have brakes
