I noticed this on the first week of having my own 2007 Tropical. Eventually it would stop locking/unlocking until I used the key or the switch on the drivers left.
After manually locking/unlocking it then it would continue to work for a while with the fobs. Maybe needs some lube somewhere? Sometimes it will make a clicking noise when trying to unlock.
