Level 2000

My 1999 8310 Seaview has level 2000 system with these kick down style jacks. These jacks are a pain. Sometimes the foot does not have enough clearance to properly deploy. Has anyone had this problem? I was thinking about removing the kick down foot and welding on a standard foot. Has anyone done this? Any insight about this and these jacks would be helpfull.
Thanks
