looking for 1999 Tropi-Cal 5331 owners...

hello all,

i am looking for 1999 Tropi-Cal 5331 owners to compare things with and discuss similar repair/maintenance issues with.

our wonderful new-to-us motorhome has a couple of vexing problems:

1. leveler jacks won't deploy (down).

2. we have headlights, tail lights, side marker lights, back-up lights, but NO
stoplights.

had an auto technician friend do all sorts of diagnostic checks on fuses, relays, switches, under dash fuses, main power center in compartment by entry door...under hood. No sucess, no culprits...except maybe dead solenoid for levelers.

3. dash a/c was working a few weeks ago and now nothing but warm air...

i work out of town and am home only for three or four days a month...makes it tough to try trouble shooting myself.

i did see one thread that mentioned checking the mechanical adjustment of brake pedal...will try that when i'm home this coming week. also going to plug in the rear light/brake light bar the previous owner strapped to this toad and see if the brake lights light up when the pedal is depressed.

may get some "loosen up oil" and apply to jacks and springs and do some hammering to see if that does any good. need to contact power gear and see if the jacks can be lowered manually. we are planning on moving in ft this summer, but will be in one location for at least four months and would like to get vehicle weight off tires.

enough of my ramble...

appreciate any responses...

breathe, relax and enjoy.
