low beam headlight has no power on driver side

I thought the bulb was bad and replaced it and found no power to the plug. High beams work and the passanger side work ok - any ideas on were to start?

thanks

If you don't have a continuity checker get one. They are under $10 depending. Check the wires for power that go into your headlamp connecter. If there is power there then you have a problem with the connecter. If there is not power there, then it's upstream and you have to start hunting for the open.

In many cases one side just crosses over to the other and if one side is working then try and trace this path to the other. If all else fails, just run new wiring over from the side that's working to the one that isn't.
Don't know your method for checking the power, but consider that the power may be there and it just don't have a good ground return, so you might want to double check that.

I had the same problem with high beams. I found that each side has its own relay. Check your relays. Mine are in the compartment under the drivers side window.

Now that sounds reasonable and smart and might prevent losing both sides at the same time.
