Maintenance Manuals for 1999 Dolphin

Hi Everyone,
I'll be picking up my 99 Dolphin in a week or so....there are no Maintenance Manuals or Service Info on board. I went to the National RV blog site....all that is there is the "general sales brochure" of 8 pages.
I want to be able to do as much PM's as possible to avoid all these horror stories I am reading of people having sooo many issues of breakdowns, repairs, etc.

I'm hoping when I visit the Texas Boomers Rally this evening in Corsicana, TX that I'll be able to get a vast of info first hand.

Can anyone help me find these manuals.

I sincerely appreciate all the assistance I can get.....I met a fellow from FL on-line that has been of great assistance and sooo many folks that reach out to help newbies (I had motorhome years ago and getting back into it).

Thanks sooo much, great website.
Bev

The maintenance will be in the Ford chassis manual. The coach itself really has no maintenance per se. Just your normal stuff like cleaning and winterizing. I have a '99 Dolphin and all the manuals, but I haven't even read them. 99% of this stuff is common sence. Just ask away.

There is no place to get the old National manuals unless an individual has scanned them into a PDF file and it making it available online.

As you go thru your coach and have a question, just ask here. Most of your questions can be answered by anyone here as all the major systems were supplied by the same supplier throughout the National lines.

write down the brand and model numbers of all the items in the coach, such as water heater, furnace, refrigerator, air conditioner, etc then google the item and manuals. You will find all of them available for download as PDF at no cost on the internet.

cylon51 is dead on about the owner's manuals, much like auto manuals, it's full of such advice as "clean seatbelts with a mild detergent....Do not attempt to adjust the driver’s seat while the vehicle is moving." If you want to read a manual to get the general idea of things you should know owning and operating a Class A, I suggest you download and read a Winnebago manual, all of which are available in PDF, downloadable format. Operator Manuals

The real 'dope' on your RV's systems is found pretty easily online from the manufacturer of each of your components. With a flashlight and a notepad make a note of make, model, serial number of each system, furnace, A/C, water heater, refrigerator, etc. then Google search manuals for each.

You may also want to look on the Yahoo group site also. There are a lot of information under files, on that site. It is NationalRV · National_RV on Yahoo Groups.

Hi,
thanks so much...didn't want to invest a lot of $$ in case I can't handle the PM by myself. I ordered the RV101 DVD's to go thru them so I can do a little this and a little that...figure was well worth the $$ instead of me screwing up something.

Where in Seattle are you? I have a daughter in Bonny Lake area.

Last week I bought a 1999 National Dolphin 5350 and I have zero manuals. The best part is: my slide is out and will not come back in! Help.

Here is a link to all the manuals that came with my 99 Tradewinds. The chassis and engine stuff won't help since it's a Freightliner/Cat pusher, but the OEM equipment was pretty common across the National lineup in the day.
