About 4 years ago I couldn't find any Michelins to replace my old ones so I got talked into Continentals 255/70R 22.5 in lieu of my old Michelins 235/80R 22.5. Not bad in the cooler months but right now in 90 plus degrees my Tire Pressure Monitor System starts beeping as the PSI goes over 120 psi on these Continentals. I run 110 psi in these tires as opposed to 100 psi in the Michelins. I don't recall any beeping from my old Michelins or that much of a PSI increase.

Does anyone else have this problem when running Continentals? Any thoughts out there?

Am I the only one running Continentals on my National Tradewinds? Besides Michelins what brand of tire are you all running?

110 psi sounds high to start. Did you use a weight chart to set your pressures? No doubt your coach weighs more than my Dolphin, but I set mine to 85 psi front and 90 rear based on the charts.

The 10 psi increase you are seeing seems perfectly normal... maybe even lower than I typically see with my Toyo and Sumitomo mix (Toyos are on front) in 90 degree heat.

I agree with CamJam1....Seems like your tire pressures are high to begin with. I run 80 front/85 rear with my Toyos based on the weight charts and my weight fully loaded.

That said, the other day I saw about a 10psi increase in pressure while going down the road in 80 degree heat and sunny.

All that goes through my mind is.....Is that old Michelin size big enough to carry the weight of that coach?
I know there was a recall on mine because the tires were barely capable. (On the fronts) They were 255/80/22.5 Michelin originally.
I am running Hankook 275/70/22.5 on the front. I keep them about 105 cold.
Right now I have the same size Hercules on the rear and still 105.
They have been fine. I'm a little over 10,000 on the front and 17,000+ on the rear.

I've been running Continentals for a couple trouble free years. Keep mine at 105 and drive mostly in South Texas and west. Pressure does increase 5 to 10 psi in the summer while driving.

I switched from OEM GdYr to Contis on my Newmar VTDP and happy with them. I adjust when / if I start out in the fridgid NE and end up in FL.
I don't worry about minor day to day temp variations.
I have had Michelins before but felt they are over priced for the significant sidewall cracking I experienced even with covered storage and little long term UV exposure.

235/80 AT 100 PSI = 25,130 LB LOAD

255/70 AT 110 PSI = 29,150 LB LOAD

my tradewinds weighs 24,000. anything wider than the 255 is wider than the rim / wheel is recomed for. you have increased your load capacity quite a bit, which i think is a good thing. i went from 235 to 255, the 255 is the largest thing that will clear on my coach. my pressure will go up about 10 psi. i run 255/80 / 22.5 michlen at 100 psi for a load of 28,050.

We are running 275/80R22.5 Continental HSR2's on our coach inflated to 120 psi. Our pressures are based on 4 corner weights. We are heavy at about 32,000 lbs total, but the tires drive well. We have been running them for 3 years now. Would happily buy them again. We replaced 5 year old Michelins with side wall cracks that would not pass the annual safety inspection. Won't be buying Michelins again.
