microwave

The electrical plug is in speaker enclosure. there is also the other mounting screw. this is on 2001 tradewinds. take bottom of cabinet out and side of cabinet that goes in to speaker enclosure. just changed ours. used another GE with measurement's that were almost perfect sticks out an extra 1 inch. had to change vent from top to back when it arrived from lowes. easy. put in model
GE profil # PVM9179DK5BB. Had to change back plate and add a little bracing for top screws as they did not line up with original braces.
been up for 5000 plus rough miles this summer.

Should be plugged into a outlet in the cabinet above the microwave

Skyexplorer, Your reply was detailed and spot on. I was able to locate the plug and determine that my problem is not with the devise but rather an electrial one.
