We've heard so much on the forums about Monaco and National...so I sent them a message for clarification. Here's what they had to say and I Quote:

Thank you for contacting Monaco Coach!
Monaco has purchased the naming rights for some of National RV's products and our National Parts Department is happy to be working with National RV Owners on providing any parts similar/common between the brands. If you need assistance with parts, please call 1-877-466-6226 and follow the voice prompts. They'll be glad to help you!

Respectfully,
Mike

I think we all need to keep the Monaco/NRV relationship in perspective. The relationship Mike identified is identical to ANY RV service center. Monaco did purchase the front and rear cap molds for model year 2002 and newer, however they did not purchase any spare parts particular to NRV, nor did Monaco purchase any intellectual properties, i.e. tech data.
