Welcome Darryl,
Glad to see you here on the forum . When I bought a Motorhome in 2013, I had NO experience and fortunately found this forum. Learned a ton here and am still learning. Things that go wrong on a coach is an endless happening and you can get a lot of answers to your questions here.
May I suggest that you complete the rest of your profile so that when you ask a question, people know what unit you have, and fill in your location in case you need local help.

If you use the 'search' function, you can usually find posts that apply to your problem.

My wife and I purchased our Tradewinds back in May. Now we're living in it full time and working full time.

Hi all,

I am new here and to RVing. I am in the process of getting a 1997 37' Tropical. It was my parents and has sat in their driveway unmoved for 14 years. It has been well cared for and only has 23K miles on it. Planning my first trip to Burning Man this year.

Any suggestions on what I should do to get it ready to go on a trip like that?

Jerry

If it has sat for 14 years, there could be a host of potential problems. If it were me, I would not go anywhere without getting ALL new tires.

14 years????? I would be worried that it would even make it to the tire store. The tread means nothing, if the tires are over 7 years old. Better search 'TIRES' here and read up on what others say about old tires.

Our National

My husband and I just purchased a 1995 Dolphin 434. It's good to know that there is a place where we can ask questions when they come up. Y'all have a great day!

National RV Owners Club

Mike, a National RV Owners "Club" does not officially exist due to the company going out of business I believe in Dec 2007. However, iRV2 is most likely your best resource for a National RV Owners "Forum." There may be one or two other RV websites where you may find National RV forums; but from my experience this (iRV2) is the largest and best. I own a 2001 Islander mftg by Natioanl RV and its chassis was mftg by Country Coach, who National RV purchased in 1996.
Here's a couple sites with brief National RV history: History of National R.V. Holdings, Inc. – FundingUniverse

RVRESOLVE: A HISTORY OF RECENT RV COACH CLOSINGS

Goodluck!

We are considering a purchase of a 2003 National Tropical T350, 3 slide, Diesel engine.
Can we get any feedback from anyone who has owned/or currently owns one?

Thanks so much,
Theresa

We have owned a 2004 tropical t396 for 1 yr now. We have done several repairs on it, but it had set in the hot sun of Arizona. Most of the things we fixed were due to the sun. we fixed the refrigerator but just the electric side, we updated TVs and the sound system, replaced the door awning, did do major repairs on the generator but had extended warranty on it. but it was nice to know that it was one of best on the market. We have made about 4000 miles in trips and love it. We are very happy with it and plan to keep it for awhile. If you have anymore questions let us know.
