We also have a 2004 (T-370) and love it. The rig has been very reliable and is a pleasure to drive. The only thing that I am disappointed in would be the quality of cabinetry (Oak).

Theresa,
I purchased a 2002 Country Coach manufactured, National "Islander" 9401 in March of last year (2015) from a private party. It too had spent much of it's life outside. There is some light sun-fade on the graphics, passenger side from where it was parked. I've had nothing major go wrong. The one BIG ticket repair turned out to have been simply a chassis battery issue not recharging. Mine is a 40ft. diesel pusher with 2 slides. It had 48,000 miles and I've been a FULL-TIMER since 3/2015. It now only has 55,000 miles, so I tend to go and stay in very desirable areas for several months at a time.
I don't really know anything about the Tropical model, but I am very happy with the outstanding quality of my coach. It's 14 years old and other than the light fading of some of the graphics, it's like new inside and out.
Best wishes and happy trails!
Ed

New to posting so might not be doing this correctly. Have a 2003 National Tradewinds LTC 7391. Fortunately purchased from a wonderful lady who's husband recently passed away. They kept it in a joining garage so the exterior is in excellent condition. We rent the space from her and have become friends during our first year of RV ownership. Would love to share the trials and tribulations in the future.

+1 on our disappointment in the cabinetry (maple). Most of it is partible board of MDF with an maple print decal. There are some parts that are solid wood, like the doors, the storage above the kitchen sink. The bedroom and the area over the couch are the where we find most of the MDF. I'm slowly replacing it all with solid wood.

That must be one of the differences in a Country Coach built "National" is my cabinets are all solid wood. No issues since 2002.
The only thing National about my coach is a National decal on rear.. right beside the DynoMax Chassis by Country Coach Label.
Cheers,
Ed

Hi there! We're trying to figure out how to get our National RV Karma. Going into circles here. 2000 National Tropi-Cal 36' is our "new" fixer-upper and we're loving it. Hope someone can help. Thanks!
