National Shower Skylight
This forum is fantastic -- invaluable when manufacturers are unavailable. Using info from previous posts, I contacted several skylight manufacturers.
Foxlite is the National OEM, CDE1624 is their model number for the replacement on my Tradewinds. I sent an email inquiry yesterday and received a reply today from the gentleman who assisted National during the design and ordered one for $70. They also have a triple-pane model for additional cold-weather insulation -- CTE1624 -- for $10 more, made to order in about 1 week.
If you happen to be near a Menards store, the Kennedy 1422-CM also looks like an acceptable replacement for about $50 and the SunTek CM1422 or CMA1422 (with aluminum skirt) also have similar dimensions if you can find a good merchant.
The industry terminology we need here is "Curb Mount" -- unlike most RV installations that install directly on the roof, National used the construction method of high-quality home skylights. 1422 is the reference to the Rough Opening of 14" X 22" (the inside dimensions) and using standard 2x4 construction for the "curb" that extends above the roof line with trim and flashing yields an outside dimension of about 17-1/2" X 25-1/2". With those dimensions, you can order a skylight cap from any building supply or home center should the OEM not be available in the future.
