New tires?????
I checked my tires and the back 4 are dated 4212 which is 7 years old. They look great but I'm thinking of replacing them. They are Michelins 235/80R 22.5, only problem is I can't find a place in Saint George, Utah that carries them. So should I look at other brands? If so, any suggestions?

For what it is worth, had the same problem last month in Rapid City, SD. I wanted to replace the 6-tire set... but all local sources (primarily, Dale's Tire) could only provide two. I bought two for the front, placing the best remaining four on the rear. if I were to look around... and I may, Toyo would be on the list.

I got my 6 Yokohama 255/70R22.5 RY023 16 ply from these folks and was happy with the price and service.
Picked the brand because the tires were 10 years old when I bought the rig and still in good condition. Also they are made in the US.

We have new Toyos all around and are very happy. About $100 less per tire than the Michelins.

If you want the expensive Michelin's your local tire places should be able to order them for you.

I checked with one of the few big tire shops and was quoted $568. per tire and they would have to order them. He did have some Firestones in house that he said are 2 ply more then the Michelins and are about half the price. Anyone have any experiance with Firestones on their DP?

245/75R22.5 is a closer match. Toyo, Yokohama, Bridgestone are all good. We just put 6 R268 Bridgestones on our rig, because that is what was available locally. So far so good with them.

i like Bridgestone tires for my 2002 National Islander. Over the years i have used Michelin and a couple of others. Excellent tire wear and minimal air loss and most cases do not have to add air. i have owned my Islander for 11years. Maybe a little pricey but last set was on for 6 yrs and only put on new ones as a safety precaution.

We went with Toyo M154 tires after we bought our Bay Star last year. They are a very good tire and will cost you a lot less than Michelins. Toyo tires were recommended to me by the owner of a local trucking company where I also store my MH. He uses Toyos on his fleet.

My Dolphin came to me with Sumitomo tires on it and they've been fine. I've had no problems.

Toyo, but honestly I think my Hankooks were just as good. I can’t see paying a premium for how much/little our tires get used.
