New Wingman antenna

i just installed a new wingman antenna. i also installed all new coaxial
RG6 cable on top of my wineguard crank up roof antenna.

my question is i am trying to install all new rubber boots at my coaxial cable
fittings. i am not having any luck trying to get these darn rubber boots over
the coaxial fittings.

i know you are suppose to put the rubber boots on before you put the
connector fittings on the cable. this woul have been to easy.

unfortunately i did not do this and am now trying to put the rubber boots
over the coaxial cable fittings. i cannot seem to get these damn rubber
boots over the fittings? is there a trick or easier way to get these
boots over the top of the fittings?

i really do not want to take the fittings off the cables just to put these
rubber boots on.

will the rubber boots still go on with the fittings on the cable?

what is the secret or method to get the boots over the coaxial fittings
without tearing up or ruining the rubber boots?

thanks for any help. i really would like to put the boots on over the coaxial
fittings? thanks for any insight on this seemingly simple task.

I don't think you are going to be able to get the boot over the fitting without damaging it.

Had the same problem, I wound up using a good amount of Dicor caulking to seal it all up.

Removing and replacing the connectors is about a 15 minute job at most?

You could just cut the fitting(s) off- slide the boots on, and then install new fittings....or- get a small can of electrical connector coating (like liquid plastic) and just brush it on.

Plasti-kote Fast Dry Enamel Bottle - Small*bottle size ideal for small craft or hobby projects

There are probably 3 or 4 other knock off brands as well.
