OBD II Port

I can't locate the OBD II port on my 2006 Surf Side. I have a check engine light on, and want to hook my scanner in. Can anybody give me some help as to where I can find it.

Jim-

This thread contains all the info you need- if your National is built on a Ford F-53 chassis.

The second post on that thread has a link to Ford SVE/QVM Bulletin Q-178: "F53/ F59(2011) OBDII Diagnostic Connector Location."

If it is a F53 chassis then right side of steering wheel under dash. If it has never been used it will tie wrapped and hard to find. It may also have a cover over it, black and smooth again making it hard to find.

they are a real pain to find. I've climbed under there and used it a couple times. it has a cover on it which makes it difficult to locate. On my 2001 Sea Breeze it is jammed up under the dash slightly to the left of the steering collum. Ray

The coach builder should have moved the connector to a visible location when the dash was installed .

Once you find the connector ; move it , to where any/everyone looking for it can find it quickly .

Thanks everyone, found it. It is a F53 and was right where you all said it should be.

It's right next to the steering column about half way down. you will need a flashlight to see it. It is hard to spot.
