OBD port on 1998 Natl RV Seabreeze Ford chassis?

Hey Folks, does anyone know if there is an OBD II port on 1998 Seabreeze Ford chassis? Is it available inside the house? If not is it easy to access? Generally I understand they are available on most vehicles 1996 and later.

I got a cool device from tmobile that turns your cell coverage into wifi, but it must connect to the ODB port.

Thanks for any and all ideas!

I think the OBD 1 ports were inside the engine area on the drivers side. So if you do not have one there you most likely have a OBDII if you do it will be by the steering column it may have a plastic cover over it will most likely be on the right side of the column.

If you have a 460 chassis it is OBD I. If you have a V10 chassis you will have an OBD II port on the right side of the steering column. It's hard to find may have a cover on it. Check this post for OBD I location.

dmanduley you don't need to find your OBDII port to use your Internet device. Just buy an OBDII plug pigtail and connect the wire for pin #4 to your chassis ground (-) and the wire for pin #16 to 12VDC (+). That's it!

I do the same thing on my diesel Tradewinds (no OBDII port).

You can get the pigtail on ebay for about $6. You will need to buy the female connector. Works great.

OBD port on 1998 Natl RV Seabreeze Ford chassis?

Thanks for all the excellent tips. In looking for devices to use for converters, I see there are some that plug into cig lighter. Im thinking this handles the 12vDC needed. Is this a good idea? Or any reasons not to do so?

Thanks again!
