Thanks, reason for asking was to see if you have the same BCC as I do. I knew before posting the drawing National had upgraded to the circuit breakers for the BCC in the mid 2000's. Since you were talking about fuses assumed your BCC still had the fuses.
One thought I have is there may be an in-line fuse behind the panel were the switches are for the step and overhead light that's not working.

Sorry about the mistake about the step. Your outside light is not working.

porch light not working
I would like to thank all contributors for helping me evaluate my electrical
problem.
after checking all fuses and wiring connections I finally solved my problem.
I just needed to reset my system in the bin under the coach.
my main problem was I kept trying to reset system with the motorhome on
the battery.
I didn't know system would not reset when on batteries. as soon as I
plugged coach into electrical hookup she reset perfectly.
again it was operator error. I learned u cannot reset electrical on batteries.
hope everyone knows this and is aware of this. otherwise u are wasting time
and spinning your wheels trying to reset system while on batteries only.
thanks again to everyone.

OK, I am curious, what "system" was reset? It looks like your power is fed thru the "Battery Control Center" to various systems. The "bin under the sofa" is just forward of the entrance door? Did you manually "reset" something, or did the system reset itself?
Thanks
Fred

porch light not working
hi Fred
no I manually hit the reset button in the bin next to door where all the
coach fuses are located. after plugging electrical in, the system reset and
the power came on to my porch light and my inside light. thanks again.
problem solved. next time power goes out I will make sure I am plugged
in to electrical and not just running on the batteries before resetting.
lesson learned. hope everyone now knows u cannot reset electrical while
on battery power.

Could be that your DC voltage was to low for the breaker to reset prior to connecting to shore power that started charging you battery's.
