Power Gear Leveler Hydraulic Fluid Change

Power Gear advises changing hydraulic fluid every 24 months. My system has the vertical square plastic tank with no drain plug. Removing the tank or using a siphon pump is how they recommend removing the old fluid.
My question is, would it be feasible to simply remove the fitting on the furthest jack from the pump and pump the old fluid out? Couldn't the whole system be flushed by doing this at each jack position, adding fresh fluid to pump through each line in the system completely removing all the old fluid?

I'm starting the process of changing mine right now. I plan to siphon it and the refill. Its suggested on refill that one fully extends all jacks to get the fluid spread throughout the system?

Not sure if your system is the same as mine but here is a link describing a complete tank replacement which includes refill instructions.

Question on power gear levelers

I have a 2008 38F Bounder with hydraulic levelers. I've never changed the oil. (bad I know) Last year the control panel started freaking out on me beeping and flashing all lights. I found out it was due to low fluid. I was on my way from Wisconsin to Yuma so I bought a quart of trans fluid and when I stopped I added. As it turned out I used a little over 1/2 qt but spilled lots that I had to clean up. Last week when leveling there were a couple times I told it to raise the starboard side, I heard the pump running but it didn't appear to go farther up. While I didn't measure the rams I thought they weren't fully extended. Maybe I was low again. So I began reading and saw recommendations of changing the oil every 24 months. I just came back from my RV after checking the level. When I unscrewed the plug some fluid ran out. Not a lot, but certainly not low. Went to YTube for lessons on changing and kept seeing these reservoirs that hold 6 qts. I don't think mine holds near that much. Maybe I'm not looking at the reservoir? The picture was taken off irv2 but it's looks just like mine does. Is this the reservoir? anyone know the capacity? any other thoughts?

Thank You in advance
Steve

Yes, that is the fill tank. When I changed mine it took a smidge over 6qts.
