Power Gear leveling jacks motor replacement?

I have a 2005 National Dolphin and the motor on the power gear leveling jacks it getting loud. Still working good, but tech. said I'm going to need to get it replace in the future. Has anybody replaced their motor? Seen some for sale online for $300 or so. If you've done this to your RV for motor did you use?

You can do it!

I replaced ours, fairly straight forward. I have NO mechanical experience until I bought this rig... You might want to change the solenoid at the same time (cheap and easy).

Our issue is the bearing on the pump... A new one comes with the motor, but we couldn't get the old one out and now it's seized. The pump is a MUCH bigger deal and we can't find anyone to work on it?! Been without jacks all summer and really getting frustrated. Unfortunately, from the hours of research I've done the grinding sound is usually the pump bearing. Be sure to clean that unit up and get the new one in.

I found an old post about rebuilding one of these here on IRV2 that linked to a member's blog showing a good breakdown of replacing the system. https://www.1999southwind.com/levele...ll-of-marbles/

Hope this helps and good luck!

Thanks for your input and the link. I'm going to do yes in the next week or two.

I replaced ours with this. I am also mechanically inclined, but it was pretty easy and straight forward. The worse part was that the motor was corroded and stuck to the pump. I kept spraying penetrating oil and prying until I finally broke it loose.

Power Gear Hydraulic Leveling Jacks

Supplier Lippert is no help in diagnosing and resolving my problem. The right front jack will not retract all the way up. Approximately 3 inches of the piston remains showing. I am told it is not due to low fluid.

Anyone resolved the same issue?

Bill

Removed my old motor and replaced it with the one listed about from amazon. New motor didn't work. Just made a clicking noise. Removed it and put old motor back on for now. Will return new motor for a replace or refund. Here's a picture of the old motor. It's noisy but still works for now.
