Power Gear Slide out goes out, grinding when going in- 99 Dolphin

Had slide out rebuilt due to water damage. installer put in rollers to assist (rather than the original carpet on carpet). Was noisy going in, quiet going out, which I attributed to the rollers. I was wrong, as the noise got progressively worse and a few months later, it's stuck in the out position, making a grinding noise when coming IN, moving only an inch or so. But still quiet when I bump it back out. I don't understand the anatomy of a slide out motor and gear box and on my own. Tried to do Video but not allowed. I think picture is attached with Part #13-1090.
Before I just order a new motor assembly, thought I'd try here as problem might be something else.

This youtube link seems to show how to replace it though. Looks identical to mine.
Any help is appreciated

Our '98 5330 Dolphin has the same motor/gearbox. I had the same issue. I pulled the assembly and opened up the gearbox. One of the castings in the aluminum housing for one of the gears was cracked and allowing the gear to "disengage" and slip. I tried repairing the casting with JB Weld and it held for a short while. I ended up replacing the motor/gearbox assembly.
