Xantrex GS3012RV MSW. Tried a couple three differing UPS units. None played well with the MSW. So went the small inverter route. Put Triplitte 150 inverters in AV cabinets (no fan noise, zero power draw when off). Problem solved.

Folks with newer Magnum PSW inverters typically dont have the problem. I've since upgraded to a Magnum PSW, but still have the small inverters in place - just see no need to remove them.

Magnum has near plug and play replacements for your xantrex 458. Newer, better technology. Works better overall. Suggest to consider an upgrade.
Do you mind going over why you decided to upgrade the inverter? I know the benefits, but wondering if the expense is worth it if the current inverter is working.

If I upgraded I would go with the Xantrex 815-3012 Freedom SW Series 3000 Watt Inverter/Charger. It has 150 amp charging and would do Lithiums if I ever decided to go that route.
