Roof material

Hi,

Recently purchased a 2000 seaview 8310 and was wondering
what type of roof it has. I Know it ain't rubber, it looks
like fiberglass, but I have never seen a TPO (vinyl) roof.

Did national ever use tpo roofs? Do I have fiberglass?

Thanks again

If you go to the 3rd post down on the National RV page you will see National RV information link. Not much on your 2000 model but the 2001 information should be able to help you with information and answer some questions you may have.

Roof Figerglass

The fiberglass is very very thin. (Just a little more than a manila folder, but a lot less than the cardboard on the back of a yellow paper pad.)

If you are going to fasten something on the roof, you need to be sure to hit a cross member.

Be careful when you walk around up there. Don't even think about putting any weight near the edge of the roof where it curves over the side. The fiberglass is so thin that the edge will crack.
