I have a 2005 Tropical LX and am having problems with the framework below the bays rusting out, has anyone else had this problem or have a fix? Thank You

Glad you're aboard. If you are mechanically able and have a welder available why not do it yourself? If not then I would suggest finding a good welding shop or frame shop to make the repairs. I'm sure others will post answers for your query. Best of luck in finding a solution. Enjoy your adventures and be safe.

VegasDan had a problem during his renovation. Look starting around post #75 for his solution in this thread http://www.irv2.com/forums/f105/star...s-61199-6.html

Very nice Tradewinds. My Tropical has a plastic sheeting stapeled on I asume plywood which is good, the problem is with the 3" by 1" rectangles you show in your picture they were welded on top and sides with the bottom left open to moisture and they are rusting out fron the inside. I hate to weld new pieces in for fear of fire. Been thinking of adding rods through them up to the unit frame or replacing with unistrut either 1 1/2 by 1 1/2 or 1 1/2 by 3/4 without welding. Thank you for your reply. Larry
