Salesman switch
OK, on my Tradewinds when I turn off the batteries at the stairs, the light goes off but little else the batteries are still on. So what am I looking for to replace and where will I find it?
Thanks everyone!

OK.....so, what are you looking at that convinces you that the house batteries are still supplying 12 VDC to everything in the coach? Rook

The easy way to check if the 12VDC is truly off is to turn on the Fridge and then turn off the disconnect switch, (Light Off) if the Fridge doesn't turn off you need to look into the Disconnect Relay and insure the 'StartBoost" switch on your dash isn't stuck on, that switch is the most unlikely problem but still needs to be eliminated.

Hmmm.....OK,that points possibly to a bad battery disconnect relay or a defective 12V energizing circuit. This large relay is located on the backside of your 12 volt distribution panel and that panel is located in your last rear bay, driver's side. When you remove the panel cover, you cannot see the large relay, its on the back side of the circuit board, but you can see the 2 large terminals to the input and output of this relay, JP3 and JP2, on the front of the circuit board (see schematic)....this large relay connects between those two terminals. If you measure 12 volts from JP2 to ground, then the relay is not open and the 12 volts is NOT disconnected from the coach. I cannot remember if this relay is normally closed and energized to open or normally open and energized to close. Rook

Mofa.......I just noticed there is a 3 amp fuse (F32) on the front of the circuit board, not labeled for anything, opposite where the Disconnect Relay is located on the back of the board. That might be a fuse that protects the 12VDC in the Disconnect Relay's energizing circuit. Check it for being good. Rook
