The conversion to digital TV in the US only required that all TVs sold had the ability to receive over-the-air
digital TV signals. That's accomplished through an ATSC digital tuner.
However, the law that required this transition, did not
require that TVs had to have the ability to receive digital cable signals
that some RV parks now have. Digital cable requires a QAM digital tuner which many new TVs do not
So buyer beware when you're purchasing a new TV.
