Search for a manual

My wife and I recently bought a 1998 National RV Tropical. When we got it, there was no owner's manual. This is our first RV, so I am trying to figure out how it works. Anyone out there have any suggestions as to where I might find a manual? Thanks.....dave

Two comments First: How much manual do you need for a WALL? or floor or Roof?

All the stuff in an RV, Slides, Doors, Windows, Mirrors, Furnace, Fridge, Fans, Lights, Radios, Microwaves, and on and on, even the sink and the toilet,, Those are not "Maker of motor home" (Exception or rather possible exception is cabinets) they are made by out-source suppliers, For example my Microwave is not a Damon, it's a Dometic, and it was not even made by Dometic, it was screwed up by LG (Lucky Goldstar) a company which far as I am concerned makes Lousy Goods (Every one of their products I've had to put up with was beyond hope save for the aforementioned microwave, I was able to fix that, Used GE parts (Superior design) and made a physical change in the unit as well but it has worked since I fixed it,

You can download the manuals from the manufacturers web site.

The National Owners manual is very general, while it is nice to have one it's not going help much with how somethings operate. To get information on the various appliances such as the refrigerator, water heater, furnace, etc write down the manufacturers name and model numbers, go to the manufacturers web site and search for the owners manual. I found the attached brochure on the PacNats web site. You can find the link to PacNats web site here http://www.irv2.com/forums/f105/nati...ers-55152.html
As Fred mentioned the National RV Forum on Yahoo Groups is a good site has almost 2,900 members. Just a bit of information about Tropi-Cal in the early 2000's National turned it into a Diesel Pusher. I have a PDF copy of the owners manual for my 99 Dolphin, which should be equipped similar to your Tropi-Cal. The manual is to large to post here, over the 3 MB that is allowed. Send me a Private Message (PM) with you email and I will email you the manual.

Thanks all for the help. Hopefully this will help me to find what I am looking for. I can figure all of it except for the furnace. The thermostat on the wall does not match the one that I have a brochure for, and no matter what I do , I can't find a setting for heat.

Does your thermostat look like the attached picture? Or has it been upgraded to the 5 button thermostat?
