I have a 2005 Dolphin 5342 is yours the same model? If so what is the part number you ordered?

I think I have a roller that may be failing. There is a bit of a grinding and clicking sound when operating the bedroom slide near one of the rollers.

Thanks, ~ Bill

Take a real close look, you may have NYLON blocks on the bedroom slide.

Both of my National RV's were equipped with blocks on the bedroom slides.

07 SeaBreeze has rollers on the main slide.

Our previous 05 Dolphin 5342 with it's larger bedroom slide used rollers, our current 08
Dolphin 5335 (DL35C) bedroom slide uses nylon blocks. I recently replaced the nylon blocks with rollers after the nylon blocks appear to damage the fiberglass surface under the 5335 bedroom slide. I used the long rollers from an 8000 lb. winch roller fairlead.

Hi All,

Thanks for the info. My 2005 5342 has the large bedroom slide that includes the closet. It has the rollers and not the blocks. I guess that is due to the additional weight and size of the slide. I'm not sure if there are 2 or 3 rollers. I will check the next time I get it out of storage.

How were you able to check the both location and number of the rollers?

I just toodled out to look. My 2005 5342 has 3 evenly spaced rollers on the large bedroom/closet slide. They Look like nylon roller material to me, but I didn’t attempt to crawl all up under there to inspect.

Easiest way to see one for me is I pulled out the slide, raised the bed, and pulled out the bed stand drawer near the head of the bed, and tucked up in that corner is a roller. That’s the middle one. The other (rear most) side of bed I think you’d have to remove the cover over the hvac filter to see.

The one that is front most of the 3 is under the closet floor. I have never attempted to introduce myself to that one.

Gdlow, my rollers have left trace evidence under the slide. It’s faint but discernible. The resting position when the slide is in is most visible as a tiny depression at that resting point. One is at the rear most of the bed (the bed itself, not under the rear most nightstand), the middle one is at the edge of the bed basically under the nightstand between bed and closet, and that roller is visible by lifting bed and looking in that corner. I didn’t remove the nightstand drawer to be sure - it’s my day off and I don’t wanna break something and upset the balance of the day.

The front most one is under/in the closet at the coach-front end maybe 8” or 10” from the absolute front most edge of the slide,

The 3rd pic in GregoryJ’s post shows the location of the rearmost one in the hvac filter area I think.
