Speaking of Remodeling

Has anyone replaced their day/night shades with regular cellular shades from either Bali or Levolor?

We replaced ours with 2 inch wood blinds in maple to match our cabinets.
We also removed the fabric valances. Never liked them anyway...
You will find the change makes it much brighter inside.

I replaced the shades in our previous mh with the cellular shades stocked in Lowes. They can be cut to width, and if you are handy, you can dis-assemble the shade from the header and cut them to length as well. IIRC, I did all the windows for about 1/2 the cost of the same shade made to custom dimensions.

We did the same. I fabricated red oak valances and trim.
