1997 Dolphin, Our coach wont start unless I use the boost button. New battery installed, alt. is charging. Turn key it just clicks. Push boost she fire right up. Where might I find the starter relay? it is the Ford 360.

The relay is working if it starts.

What's not working is the positive cable from the start battery to the point where the boost cable meets it.

Clean and tighten all you can see.

OR .... it could be the starting motor. If you DIY to replace the starting motor: 1) disconnect the battery (or all of them to be sure) 2) remove the starting motor and take it with you because the chance that the auto parts places' database will show the correct replacement is slim to none.

If it starts when the boost is used it's not the starter. Was the new battery FULLY charged before or after installation? Make sure the battery has a FULL charge. If the battery is fully charged you have a problem with the cables on the chassis battery. Sorry, I need to ask this question, you did install a 12 volt battery not a 6 volt battery for the chassis? If the chassis battery is a 12 volt check that cables are clean and tight. Check the ground cable where it attaches to the frame remove it and clean to bare metal.
