Steering stabilizers

Hi,
I am thinking of putting on a steering stabilizer. What is the best type?
I know I need to have the front end checked but I looked at the bell crank and felt it while my wife moved the steering wheel and couldn't see or feel any side play. Some play is supposed to be acceptable but when you are traveling up or down the the road and are getting blown all over the road, will a stabilizer solve that problem? Then there is the threat of a front end blow out. I was thinking of the SteerSafe but if one spring breaks will that pull you in the direction of the good spring?
Can the SteerSafe be installed by myself or is there a lot of adjustment to be done like getting the springs balanced? Does Freightliner have any suggestions that you have heard of?

Let us know what type of chassis you have. I'm assuming it's a Freightliner, but depending on if it is IFS or solid axle, your options will vary.

I keep forgetting to include the Freightliner XC chassis type. It has a solid axle also.
I was going to stop at Camping World near Flagstaff, AZ yesterday but their service shop is closed on Sunday and from their website so is the store. I/we have been busy today unloading the motor home to do any thing else.
